No-Knead Air Fryer Rustic Bread

Ingredients

200 g all-purpose flour

150 ml warm water

3 g active dry yeast (about 1 level teaspoon)

2 teaspoons olive oil

⅔ teaspoon salt

⅔ teaspoon sugar

Instructions

1. Mix the Dough
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and active dry yeast.
Add the warm water and olive oil. Stir with a spoon until all the flour is incorporated. The dough will be sticky—this is normal.

2. First Rise
Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 to 1½ hours, or until doubled in size.

3. Shape the Dough
Lightly flour your hands. Without kneading, gently pull the edges of the dough toward the center 3 or 4 times. Shape it into a ball.

4. Prepare the Pan
Line a 15 cm (6-inch) silicone or aluminum baking pan with parchment paper and place the dough inside.

5. Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3
minutes.

Air Fryer Cooking
Because the bread is baked in a compact 15 cm pan, the cooking time is slightly shorter to k
eep the inside soft and moist.

Phase 1

Place the pan in the air fryer basket and cook at 180°C (350°F) for 18 minutes.

Phase 2

Carefully remove the bread from the pan and discard the parchment paper.
Turn the bread upside down and place it directly in the air fryer basket. Cook for another 5 minutes at 180°C (350°F) until the bottom is golden and crispy.

💡 Cris's Tip

Place a small heatproof metal dish filled with hot water in the bottom of the air fryer drawer during the first few minutes of cooking. The steam helps the bread rise beautifully and creates a crisp, rustic crust.
