For the Pasta:
250 g pasta (macaroni, penne, or broken spaghetti)
For the Filling:
2 cans tuna, drained and flaked
1 small onion, finely chopped
A drizzle of olive oil
1 small can sweet corn (optional)
For the Creamy Sauce:
200 ml heavy cream
2 heaping tablespoons mayonnaise
To Finish:
Grated cheese, to taste
Salt, black pepper, and oregano, to taste
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Base
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
3. Add the Tuna and Corn
Stir in the drained tuna and the sweet corn. Cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring gently to combine the flavors.
4. Make the Creamy Sauce
Reduce the heat to low. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream and mayonnaise until smooth. Pour the mixture into the pan, stirring continuously. Season with black pepper and oregano.
5. Combine Everything
Add the cooked pasta to the pan and gently stir until it is evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
6. Air Fry or Bake
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or an air fryer-safe dish. Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and oregano.
Air Fryer: Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 8–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
Oven: Bake at 200°C (392°F) until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
